About this journal
Focus and Scope
The journal Paedagogia Musica focuses on music pedagogy with overlaps with music psychology, sociology, aesthetics, and music therapy. It deals with both school music education and the training of professional musicians at art schools. Its starting point is the classical music of Central Europe with an emphasis on the Czech lands. The international editorial team also provides a platform for music pedagogical topics and didactic methods responding to the stimuli of contemporary world music culture. All submitted papers are double-blind peer-reviewed. The journal is published twice a year, both online and in print, since 2021.
The title of the journal was changed from the original Musica Paedagogia Pilsnensis (No. 1) to Paedagogia Musica (starting with No. 2).
